WHAT IS PHYSIOKINETIX?

PHYSIOKINETIX TRAINING | PKT is the culmination of over 20 years of research and development by Paul Kelly, Founder, BS, LMT, CPT, MPKT based in the USA. This series of Restorative and Functional techniques are aimed at making your Mind and Body better able to align, balance, and re-educate the neuromuscular system to create long lasting, life changing effects.

This system caters to everyone from elderly with age related movement dysfunctions to Olympic athletes looking to rebuild and improve their performance, from the ground up.

By integrating the techniques in this program into your daily life, you can help alleviate and correct many common neurologic and orthopaedic dysfunctions while building strength, increasing control, and fine-tuning performance!

LEVEL 1: MOBILTY

Creating mobility will increase your desire to move better for life, which is why it is the first level of PhysioKinetix Training. Mobility, can be used as a warm up or a corrective strategy to your daily pain management routine. Each proceeding levels should always be used in conjunction with Level 1 techniques.

Level 1: Mobility is where everyone, young or old, weak or strong, should start their Physiokinetix Training routine. These neurologic strengthening techniques utilize a restorative, functional approach to movement by working out of gravity on the floor and eventually moving back in to gravity, a standing model.

This level includes 8 techniques with various neurological strength modifications and graded exposure movements that will help restore intrinsic strength, neural strength, skeletal alignment, and improve pain through proper cross patterning.
These techniques were designed as the base for Physiokinetix, to be used on its own or in combination with level 2 as a complete pain management routine or to simply get your body moving correctly and efficiently again.

A trainer will be your guide as they take you through this routine until you are strong, competent, and mobile enough to move on to the next level. This level, along with all others, utilizes resistance bands and varying reps to create neuromuscular confusion in order to further strengthen not only your body but also your brain to re-educate it to forget improper movements and retain proper ones.

LEVEL 2: STABILITY

Everyone’s brain and body needs Stability to enjoy their everyday activities. Level 2 will help create global, and intrinsic strength for our entire nervous and musculoskeletal systems. These techniques also help with chronic degenerative conditions, balance and motor coordination, and structural alignment, while creating Stability in all 3 planes of motion.

Level 2: Stability addresses some of the most common and degenerative conditions that prevent healthy aging and performance. This level works on the core and global stabilizers by lengthening, strengthening, and balancing the neuromuscular system.

This level includes 8 techniques with various neurological strength modifications and graded exposure movements that will help correct these common dysfunctions.

These techniques were designed to be used on its own or in combination with level 1 as a complete pain management routine or to simply get your body moving correctly and efficiently again.

A trainer will take you through this level once you have shown physical competency in the techniques from level 1. They will be your guide as they monitor proper breathing, posture, range of motion, and any pain / discomfort as you regain balance, strength, and stability.

This level, along with all others, utilizes resistance bands and varying reps to create neuromuscular confusion in order to further strengthen not only your body but also your brain to re-educate it to forget improper movements and retain proper ones.

LEVEL 3: POWER

In Level 3, we start to build power and endurance throughout our entire neuromuscular system, while simultaneously strengthening our weak neurologic cross-patterns. Power Training will burn fat, build muscle tone, increase your metabolic rate and work on your overall cardio-respiratory fitness. The Ultimate goal of this level is to become powerful while still being pain free.

Level 3: Power combines ideas from 1 and 2 in a targeted approach to build endurance and power while strengthening cross patterns. It is in this level that Physiokinetix begins to heavily utilize resistance bands in order to provide variable resistance to ingrain new motor pathways, restore cardiorespiratory fitness, increase metabolic rate, and challenge our brain.

This level includes 8 techniques with various neurological strength modifications and graded exposure movements that will help burn more fat, drive hormones, and increase tissue growth responses.

A trainer will take you through this level once you have shown physical competency in the techniques from level 1 and 2. They will be your guide as they monitor your cardiorespiratory system, coordination, and increasing strength while you begin to feel more stable, strong, balanced, and gain the endurance to keep it going.

This level, along with all others, utilizes resistance bands and varying reps to create neuromuscular confusion in order to further strengthen not only your body but also your brain to re-educate it to forget improper movements and retain proper ones.

LEVEL 4: PERFORMANCE

Level 4 is all about refinement and working on your inhibitory reflexes, motor balance, and further refining your neurologically weak cross patterns developed during improper repetitive training. From competitive athletes, professionals, or performance-based individuals, anyone can benefit from this restorative, functional movement science approach.

Level 4: Performance is a Fine-Tuning workout for performance-based athletes such as marathon runners and high-intensity weekend warriors. This level works on inhibitory reflexes and motor / balance weaknesses to restore and build strength and control in all planes of motion.

Over our lifetime of movement, we have developed neurologic strengths and weakness not only in our motor cortex but in our neuromuscular system. As you restore these inhibited movement patterns you will see more strength and control, with more movement confidence and range of motion.

This level includes 8 techniques with various neurological strength modifications and graded exposure movements that will help prevent repetitive strain pattern injuries.

A trainer will take you through this level once you have shown physical competency in the techniques from level 1, 2, and 3. They will be your guide as you begin to perform better than you ever have. Once competent in this last level, you can mix and match from every level to create the perfect set of techniques to meet your needs.
